Kodak Launched HD LED TV Series in India Starting at Rs.13,500

U.S. based multinational company Kodak launched its highly awaited five HD LED TVs on 11th of August, 2016 with its Noida based licensed partner Super Plastronics Private limited (SPPL) in India. The product listing consists of a range of 32, 40 and 50 inch screen sizes at a very economical price. The 32 and 40 inch TVs are available in standard and smart variants, but the 50 inch TV would be a Smart TV only.

Kodak TVs are all set to redefine the meaning of entertainment and boast powerful specifications.By putting forward these high level of HD LED TVs, Kodak will target to seek out an ideal position in the market. Three out of five models offer Internet connectivity and the potential of having Wi-Fi connection.

The LED TVs will be assembled in three units Noida, Jammu and Una and most of the marketing through digital platforms. SPPL and Kodak are also planning to introduce more models for both smart and standard TVs, a 4K TV and a brand new curved TV series by the end of this year.


The products are available online with a starting price of INR 13,500 on e-commerce websites such as Flipkart, Amazon and ShopClues after 15th August, 2016. Though, the 32 inch LED TV series will be exclusively available on ShopClues website.

One of the best part these products is their wide-angle of viewing (178 X 178) which allows all family members to sit together and watch TV from any direction with any improper fraction. They also offer many smart features like YPrPb colour space and Progressive scan. The televisions are fast enough and respond in less than 8 micro seconds. They include connectivity options as per latest standard and sport HDMI, VGA and USB Ports. Smart versions are powered by ARM Cortex A7 processor, include Wi-Fi ability and run on Android version 4.4 (KitKat).


The 32 inch standard variant offers 250 nits panel for brightness, allow USB TO USB copy and comes with in-built games. The 40 inch standard variant has similar qualities but differs in screen size and offers up to 300 Samsung nits panel for brightness.

The 32 inch Smart HD LED TV offers Glass cabinet and Latest interface. The TV also features true colours for lifelike images and high level of sound quality. It supports Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) which enables users to connect smartphone or tablet and mirror HD content to the TV screen. You can clone data from USB drive as it supports USB to USB copy like the other one. There won’t be any lagging issue as the TV packs 512 MB RAM coupled with 4 GB of Flash storage. You also get an Air mouse along with the TV set.


The 40 and 50 inch smart TVs offer 300 nits of Samsung Panel for excellent brightness and sharp visuals. They also come with latest interface, 4 GB Flash storage, 512 MB RAM and Air Mouse. Alike the other smart TV they support MHL and USB TO USB copy too.

Recently few other companies like LeEco and Micromax have also launched their latest collection of smart TV with many useful features and affordable price. Indian market is so big and has full of opportunities for all companies, but the competition is also tough here. It would be really interesting to see who attracts the masses most.
